The ASMO History
ASMO, Anti Smog MObile was founded in 1992 by members of the ASMO-Team, a group of students who participated in Solar Vehicle Races since 1987. It was as a workshop for high performance electric drive-trains. ASMO was winning the electric vehicle world cup in different classes (karts, motor bikes) several times from 1990 till 1995.
 
Since the start, ASMO has been involved in all areas of personal transportation. Electric drives have been our passion and the know-how has steadily evolved into a reliable, economical and well tested system.
 
 
We are the leading company in the field of electric drive trains and charger/battery applications for leisure and industrial applications. During the last years ASMO has successfully installed over 35 electric go-kart systems in Europe, Asia and America, with ongoing projects from electric karts, scooters, floor cleaning machines to electric sail planes and boats.
 

The ASMO Secret
The secret of our success is the high efficient electric drive train that consists of the powerfull, high efficient AGNI Motor (click here for more details).
 
This Motor is invented and developed by Cedric Lynch and the careful choise of reliable high quality suppliers.
 
Cedric Lynch, England, produces the world famous first TTX-GP winner Agni permanent magnet DC motors. 
 
 
This motor is probably the best electric motor in the world when it comes to power to weight and efficiency.
 

The ASMO Component System
 
The system uses from 24 up to 120 Volts, depending on the power requiered and the batteries you want to use. A programmable electric controller is the brain of the system.
  
By combining these 3 parts, you will find a very energy efficient drive train which will take you on a most exciting ride of high acceleration.
 
Thanks to our smart charging system and internal battery protection, you will now get the most out of your batteries.
 
With regular and proper charging times, the expectant life span of a set of the batteries will be in the range of 10 - 14 months. Charging time equals driving time, when using our high powered chargers (7 kW) to keep the Karts powered up.
