Story

ASMO, Anti Smog MObile was founded in 1992 by members of the ASMO team, a group of students who have been competing in solar vehicle races since 1987. It was a workshop for high-performance electric drives. From 1990 to 1995, ASMO won the electric vehicle world championship several times in various classes (karts, motorcycles).

ASMO has been active in all areas of passenger transport from the very beginning. Electric drives are our passion and the know-how has steadily developed into a reliable, economical and proven system.

We are the leading company in electric powertrain and charging/battery applications for leisure and industrial applications. In recent years, ASMO has successfully installed over 35 electric go-kart systems in Europe, Asia and America, with ongoing projects ranging from electric karts, scooters, floor cleaning machines to electric gliders and boats.

The ASMO secret

The secret of our success is the high-efficiency electric powertrain consisting of the powerful, high-efficiency AGNI motor (click here for more details).

This engine was invented and developed by Cedric Lynch and the careful selection of reliable quality suppliers.

Cedric Lynch, England produces the world famous first TTX GP winning Agni permanent magnet DC motors.

This motor is probably the best electric motor in the world when it comes to power, weight and efficiency.

The ASMO component system

The system uses 24 to 120 volts depending on the power required and the batteries you plan to use. A programmable electrical controller is the brain of the system.

By combining these 3 parts you will find a very energy efficient powertrain that takes you on an exhilarating ride with high acceleration.

Thanks to our intelligent charging system and internal battery protection, you can now get the most out of your batteries.

With regular and proper charging times, the expected lifespan of a battery pack is in the range of 10 – 14 months. The charging time corresponds to the driving time if you use our powerful chargers (7 kW) to power the karts.
